Senior Account Associate

The Senior Account Associate role will support our company and clients by producing high-quality content in an accurate, professional and collaborative manner. In this role, you’ll support client strategy and help shape narratives that elevate impact leaders and brands as aspirational authorities in their industries.

You’ll collaborate closely with our team to bring strategies to life through written content, media outreach, awards, speaker submissions and more. If you have a strong writing voice, media instincts and a strategic mindset, this is your chance to step into a high-impact role.

Working with the team at 50th Parallel PR, your responsibilities might include:
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring smooth communication and timely updates.
  • Participate in client calls, present projects and confidentially discuss strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare client-facing materials, including agendas, communications reports, end-of-contract/campaign reports and media monitoring summaries.
  • Proactively manage timelines and keep projects moving.
  • Ensures a high level of client satisfaction through excellent communication and quality work.
  • Conduct research to support strategic planning, content development and thought leadership positioning work.
  • Contribute to the execution of thought leadership strategies by drafting bios, op-eds, award nominations and speaking submissions.
  • Help identify trends, media moments or visibility opportunities aligned with client messaging and goals.
  • Identify media opportunities and develop materials (media releases, media pitches, media kits and statements) tailored to target outlets and audiences.
  • Build and maintain media lists and support outreach and follow-up efforts.
  • Monitor mentions and news coverage and track campaign performance for reporting.
  • Support and guide Account Associates and interns on writing, research and project coordination.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content and leadership to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Contribute to internal brainstorming, campaign development and process improvements.
  • Provide thoughtful feedback and maintain a high standard for clarity in all deliverables.

 


Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years experience in PR, communications or content strategy–agency experience preferred
  • Strong writing portfolio (thought leadership, media relations materials or editorial work), including outstanding copywriting and copy-editing skills.
  • Experience working directly with clients and delivering high-quality, timely content.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven and proactive communicator.
  • Experience writing on topics related to Indigenous issues, innovations, JEDI, leadership or purpose-driven work.
  • Ability to write in CP style.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Adobe Suite.
  • Bilingual English/French.
